Welcome to Stylised. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Stylised web application (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Stylised is an AI-powered writing tool that helps transform essays to reduce AI detection scores while preserving factual content and academic structure. The Service analyzes submitted essays, identifies AI-generated patterns, and revises the content to appear more naturally written.

Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service and that they have read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

User Responsibilities

Important: Review Your Output

You are responsible for reviewing and editing all processed content before use. The Service provides automated revisions, but you must verify that the output meets your requirements and is appropriate for your intended purpose. We strongly recommend that you read through and make personal adjustments to any processed essays before using them.

By using the Service, you agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for any content you submit or create using the Service
  • You will not use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • You will not upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others
  • You will not attempt to circumvent any technical limitations of the Service
  • You will not use the Service to harm, harass, or deceive others

Academic Integrity Disclaimer

Many educational institutions have policies regarding AI-generated content and academic honesty. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the policies of your institution, employer, or any other relevant organization.

Stylised is not liable for any consequences arising from your use of processed content, including but not limited to academic disciplinary actions, course failures, or other penalties. By using this Service, you acknowledge that you understand these risks and accept full responsibility for how you use the output.

Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Plans

We offer various subscription tiers with different features and essay quotas. Free accounts have limited monthly usage. Paid subscriptions provide additional features and higher quotas. Details of current plans are available on our pricing page.

Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Add-on Credits

You may purchase additional essay credits beyond your subscription quota. These credits are available for one-time purchase and will be applied to your account balance.

Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for subscription payments or credit purchases. If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will revert to the free tier.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload or process content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
  • Upload content containing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission

Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

Our Service

The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Stylised and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STYLISED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY SPECIFIC RESULTS WILL BE ACHIEVED. AI DETECTION TOOLS AND ALGORITHMS MAY CHANGE OVER TIME, AND WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC DETECTION SCORE RESULTS.

Termination

You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
