Writing Styles
What Are Writing Styles?
Writing styles are templates that teach Stylised how to match your unique voice and preferences. When you select a style, Stylised ensures the revised content maintains your tone, vocabulary preferences, and formatting style while removing AI detection.
Predefined Styles
Academic
Formal, structured, reference-heavy writing
Casual
Conversational, friendly, approachable tone
Professional
Business-ready, polished, authoritative
Creative
Expressive, imaginative, stylistically unique
Custom Styles
Create your own style guide by uploading a text file (200-500 words) that demonstrates your writing voice. Stylised analyzes it to learn:
- •Your vocabulary preferences
- •Sentence structure patterns
- •Tone and emotional expression
- •Grammar and punctuation quirks
💡 Pro Tip
Using a writing style significantly improves results. Custom styles are even better—they can boost your target threshold from 25% to 40% AI score, giving Stylised more flexibility in revisions.
Advanced Settings (Pro/Enterprise)
Max Iterations (2-6)
Number of revision rounds Stylised performs. More iterations = better results but uses more API credits.

Target AI Score (15%-40%)
Goal AI detection percentage. Stylised stops when content falls below this threshold. Default is 25%.
Tip: Setting a lower target (15%) gives you more humanized content, but may take more iterations. Higher targets (35-40%) result in faster processing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's a "good" AI score to aim for?
We recommend targeting under 25% for most purposes. Below 15% is very safe for educational submissions. Default is 25%, which balances quality with human readability.
How long does processing take?
Usually 2-5 minutes depending on content length and settings. Longer documents and more iterations take longer. You'll receive an email when complete.
What happens to my content?
Your content is processed securely and deleted immediately after revision. We never store your documents or use them for training. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I undo changes or revert to original?
Yes! After processing completes, you can download your original content alongside the revised version. Keep backups before processing if you want to compare versions.
Why don't iterations always improve the score?
Different detectors (ZeroGPT, GPTZero, etc.) measure different signals. Sometimes improving for one detector makes the content score worse on another. When results plateau, Stylised automatically stops to preserve readability.
What if the API is down or processing fails?
If processing fails, your credit is automatically refunded. You can retry immediately with the same or different settings. Failures are rare but we have safeguards in place.
